DEHYDRATED STRAWBERRIES

Often called "strawberry chips", these dried strawberries are both healthy and delicious! Making dehydrated strawberries in a food dehydrator a great way to preserve fruit and also makes for a perfect snack!

You only need one ingredient for this recipe - strawberries! Start by washing them.
INSTRUCTIONS
Then hull the strawberries. To hull a strawberry cut off the top then discard the calyx. Slice into 1/4 inch pieces.
Place all the strawberry slices onto the food dehydrator racks several inches apart.
Cook on 135°F in the dehydrator. If you're drying strawberry halves, it will take 16 to 18 hours. Strawberry slices will take 8 hours.
Once they have cooled, remove from racks & store in glass jars or in an airtight container!

Use an egg slicer to cut even strawberry slices!
By vacuum sealing the fruit you increase the shelf life & decrease any chance of mold.
To add sweetness, add sugar before you dehydrate the strawberries.
