CHICKEN LEG QUARTERS

Chicken leg quarters are super easy to smoke. These smoked quarters are covered in a flavorful sweet and spicy BBQ rub and then brushed with a thin layer of BBQ sauce. Juicy and delicious, you've never tasted a chicken leg quarter recipe like this before!

INGREDIENTS

Chicken Quarters Olive Oil | Kosher Salt Oregano | Black Pepper Coriander | Cumin Smoked Paprika Garlic Powder

Prepare smoker and preheat it to 225°.  Baste olive oil onto each chicken quarter, ensuring all crevices are covered.  Mix together spice ingredients in a small bowl.

PREPARATION

Spoon the dry rub onto each piece of chicken, then spread evenly with your hands. Place chicken directly on smoker rack. Insert a digital meat thermometer, close the lid, and let chicken smoke low and slow.

SMOKE

Keep the thermometer inserted the entire time so you can monitor internal temperature. Once temp reaches 165°, it's time to remove the meat. This will take 3-4 hours.

INTERNAL TEMP

Remove from the smoker and let them rest for 5 minutes before serving.
