To make the compound butter mix together butter, garlic, rosemary, salt and pepper. Apply the compound butter evenly over the roast. In a bowl combine pepper, rosemary, ground mustard, salt, garlic powder, dill, paprika, coriander, and red pepper flakes.
As evenly as possible, sprinkle the dry rub mixture onto the entire roast, ensuring all sides and crevices are covered. Preheat the smoker to 225°.
