Asian Teriyaki Meatballs

These juicy Asian meatballs are packed with savory teriyaki flavor, garlic, and a hint of ginger, then topped with fresh green onions and sesame seeds. Simple to make and full of bold flavor, they’re perfect for an easy dinner, party appetizer, or meal prep favorite.

Equipment

  • baking sheet
  • parchment paper
  • large bowl
  • Plastic wrap

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • ¼ cup teriyaki sauce
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • ¼ teaspoon onion powder
  • ¼ teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1 Tablespoon sesame seeds
  • salt, to taste

Instructions

  • In a large bowl, mix all the ingredients together until well combined.
  • Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and place the bowl in the refrigerator and allow to marinate for 30 minutes.
  • When done marinating, use your hand to form medium size meatballs.
  • Sprinkle the tops of the uncooked meatballs evenly with sesame seeds.
  • Put the meatballs on a baking sheet lined with Parchment paper.
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F and then bake for 30 minutes. 
  • When done, brush additional teriyaki sauce on the meatballs for extra flavor as soon as they come out of the oven. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • If you don't want to use ground beef, this recipe works well with ground turkey, pork, chicken, or a combination of meats.
